The ancient Buddhist tradition offers powerful methods for healing and awakening. In this special retreat, we will explore what healing means according to Tantric Buddhism and practice three of its core healing paths: Medicine Buddha, White Tara, and White Heruka.

These practices arise from the heart of the Tantric Buddhist tradition and have been transmitted in unbroken lineages for over a thousand years by tantric masters in India, Tibet, and across Asia. For generations, they have been used by healers, physicians, spiritual practitioners, and everyday people – for self-healing, healing others, and progress on the spiritual path.

The practices work with mind, breath, body, and sound (mantra) to access the deepest levels of our being and directly touch whatever is in need of healing. This powerful approach works at the root of imbalance as it manifests in illness and difficulty, transforming it into health, joy, and ultimately—full awakening.

During this retreat, we will study and practice these profound methods with Lama Glenn Mullin, a direct student of His Holiness the Dalai Lama for over 50 years, and a renowned scholar and translator of Tibetan Buddhism. Lama Glenn has been teaching Tibetan Buddhism worldwide for over three decades, guiding thousands of students worldwide.

The retreat will take place at the Marine Center in Sdot Yam, overlooking the The Mediterranean Sea and the ancient roman ruins of Caesarea, in a calm and natural setting. Participants will enjoy the beach and surrounding nature, including meditation and yoga sessions on the shore, which will complement and deepen the processes of healing and renewal explored during the retreat.

Medicine Buddha

The Buddha of Healing
Medicine Buddha – often referred to as the First Physician – is a central figure in Buddhist healing traditions. This practice enables practitioners to activate and strengthen their innate healing capacities and enhance the protective qualities of the human energy field.

White Tara

The Wish-Fulfilling Wheel
White Tara, also known as the “Wish-Fulfilling Wheel,” is a female Buddha who embodies the five enlightened activities of awakened mind: pacifying, attracting, enriching, powerful action, and protection. Her practice is especially powerful for longevity, healing, and the removal of internal and external obstacles.

White Heruka

The Energy of Long Life
White Heruka (Also known as White Chakrasamvara)  is a practice of Highest Yoga Tantra (Anuttara Yoga Tantra). In addition to being a complete path to awakening, it includes unique methods for extending life. The practice involves advanced inner energy techniques (Tummo), working directly with the energy channels and chakras—to heal, clear blockages, strengthen vitality, and support longevity

.
Throughout the retreat, we will learn and practice these three sacred healing paths and explore how to integrate them into daily life and personal practice.

🔹The retreat includes empowerments for Medicine Buddha, White Tara, and White Heruka

Following the retreat, Drupon Chongwol-la, Lama Glenn’s retreat master, will offer continuation teachings, practices, and clarifications to help deepen and integrate what was learned.

For those interested, there will also be an option to join a weekly practice group with Drupon Chongwol-la, providing ongoing support throughout the year.
